Our firm was founded in 1999 by John Dives, Q.C., Robin Harper and J. Christopher Grauer (now a judge of the Supreme Court of British Columbia) after having practiced for many years successfully in a large Vancouver firm. Dives, Harper & Stanger has been providing legal advice and representation to clients in Vancouver, British Columbia since 1999. The firm was created with the intention of providing excellent legal services in an efficient, low cost manner for our clients. Eric Stanger began practicing with the firm in 1999 and in 2010 became a partner at the firm.
Our firm has represented clients across many different industries and relating to different legal matters, for both plaintiffs and defendants. Our lawyers have appeared before all levels of Court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and also before numerous different administrative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal as well as professional colleges. We have successfully defended hospitals, nurses, physicians, lawyers, and midwives in areas of medical malpractice and professional discipline. We have successfully pursued class action proceedings on municipal issues leading to certification and settlement. We have represented numerous different corporate clients on litigation issues addressing recovery of interjurisdictional debt claims, contractual disputes, and intellectual property claims. We have pursued personal injury actions, including aspects of maritime law and claim against a cruise ship line. We have represented both employers and employees in employment disputes.
